Hire Contract - Terms Of Hire
1. Definitions
1.1 The "Client" means the person/s, organisation or company booking the equipment with the "Company".
1.2 The "Company" means A Little Adventure.
1.3 “DIY hire” is the hire of equipment for the 'client' to set up and supervise themselves.
1.4 “Standard hire” is the hire and styling of all equipment by a representative of the company, supervision will be the responsibility of the Client.
1.5 “Teepee set” is the tent, soft furnishings, accessories and associated equipment per teepee.
1.6 The period of hire is from the agreed upon date until the following day at an agreed time unless stated otherwise.
1.7 This is written to comply with UK Contract Law
2. Bookings
2.1 All equipment remains the property of the company at all times.
2.2 In the event of uncontrollable circumstances preventing us from being able to fulfil our contractual obligations the company shall provide a full refund of any monies paid, in relation to the contracted event or a pro rata reduction in the hire fee in the event of a delayed start. Every effort will be made to fulfil the contractual obligation but no further compensation shall be paid.
2.3 Prices are subject to change without notice but all prices quoted will be honoured.
3. Prices, Deposit & Balance Payments
3.1 All hires are subject to a non-refundable deposit of £20 per teepee set, this will be deducted from the final payment
3.2 All hires include a refundable security deposit of £50 per teepee set. Security deposits will be returned within 48 hours of equipment collection.
3.3 DIY hire is charged at the same rate as standard hire, a member of the company will be available for phone consultation during a DIY hire.
3.4 The balance to be paid in full and cleared 14 days prior to the event start date of the party.
3.4 The cost of delivery is free within 10 miles of CO3 postcode. Events further than 10 miles incur a delivery cost charged at 50 pence per mile over 10 miles. This is charged 4 times to cover set up and recovery. The delivery charge can be requested prior to booking.
4. Location, Facilities & Conduct
4.1 Teepee sets will be set up in one location only as agreed on arrival and will not be moved once unloaded. Equipment should stay in the vicinity of the setup site.
4.2 The company reserves the right to refuse delivery if the venue or site is deemed to be unsuitable. In such a case the security deposit will be returned but no refund will be given and the full hire fee will be due.
4.3 A minimum of 200cm x110cm is required per tent area. The company reserves the right to refuse delivery if there is insufficient space required, or the space does not leave sufficient access to a fire exit. In such a case, no refund will be given and the full fee will be due.
4.4 It is the client's responsibility to ensure the area is clear from furniture prior to the company's arrival. The company will not move or clear areas upon arrival and failure to provide adequate space may result in cancellation without refund.
4.5 It is the responsibility of the hirer to provide all the necessary information required on the booking form at the time of booking and to ensure that this is true and correct. This includes but is not limited to, informing the company where the equipment will be installed, the proximity to parking and providing access to the household.
4.6 There must be parking available at, or suitably close, to the client's household. Any parking costs will be the responsibility of the client to cover including but not limited to parking permits for residential parking areas.
5. Liability & Insurance
5.1 The company liability insurance covers use of the equipment according to these terms and conditions, and user hire conditions which will be signed upon delivery.
5.2 The client agrees to indemnify the company for any damage or theft of the company's equipment whilst on hire.
5.3 The company accepts no liability for any damage or loss of personal property and or any injury arising from the use of the hired equipment.
6. Contract Terms & Conditions of Hire
6.1 The client will, during the period of hiring, be responsible for the supervision of the equipment, its care, safety from damage however slight or change of any sort, and the behaviour of all persons of all ages using the equipment whatever their capacity, including proper supervision of children. The company excludes any liability for injury loss or damage caused to any person using the equipment contrary to the terms and conditions of this contract. It is recommended that children under 5 years are not left unsupervised in the teepee set.
6.2 A refundable damage deposit of £50 for up to 2 teepee sets, £100 for up to 4 teepee sets and £150 for up to 6 teepee sets is required per event. This payment is due 14 days prior to the date of the event. Such deposit to be returned to the client within 48 hours of return of the equipment, unless the hired equipment and any accessories have been damaged or lost during the period of hire and in such circumstances the deposit will be used in full or part payment of those repairs/replacements. The client shall indemnify the company for the full cost of repair of any damage done to any equipment which may occur during the period of the hiring.
6.3 The client shall not use the equipment for any purpose other than that described in the hiring agreement, and shall not sub hire or use the equipment or allow the equipment to be used for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way.
6.4 The client must ensure that anyone using the hire equipment removes shoes and does not carry sharp objects; such as key-rings, metal studded clothing or any other similar items which could cause damage to others or the equipment.
6.5 Nail varnish is applied away from the tent and fully dry before entering the tent.
6.6 Food and drink should not be consumed around the teepee sets, any stains or damages that cannot be cleaned as a result of this will incur a reduction of the security deposit return.
6.7 The hirer should not use the equipment outside, including all accessories supplied.
6.8 Activities and crafts supplied by the company should be supervised by the client and be done in a separate area away from the teepee site. Some activities and crafts will incur mess to people and clothing and this should be cleaned before returning to the teepee site. The company can not take any responsibility for issues regarding the additional activities as it is the responsibility of the client to supervise such activities.
6.9 Smoking is strictly prohibited for fire hazards and to prevent cigarette smoke odour on the tents and equipment. If this is ignored and the equipment is returned having been in a smoke environment, the security deposit will not be refunded and will be used to clean or replace the equipment as necessary.
6.10 No naked flames should be used around the teepee sets, battery powered candle light bulbs will be supplied as part of the set up,
6.11 Teepee lights should not be left on all night and it is the client's responsibility to ensure all lights included in the teepee setup are switched off when the teepee is being slept in.
6.12 Pets should be kept away from the teepee sets. The cost of cleaning pet hire or mess will be deducted from the security deposit.
6.13 Public liability insurance is excluded in its entirety following any claim or injury to any third party or employee whether directly or indirectly related to the use of drugs and/or alcohol.
7. Cancellations
7.1 If the client wishes to cancel the booking for whatever reason, the following cancellation charges will become payable:

7 days or less will incur a 50% cost the total amount payable

8-14 days will incur the cost of the non refundable deposit.

Over 14 days will incur no cost and a full refund will be possible.

If enough notice of cancellation is given to allow for another event to be arranged the client would receive a refund equal to the promotional cost of the new booking.
7.2 The company reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time for any reason. As much notice will be given as possible. Upon any such cancellation the company will refund to the client any monies paid to the company in respect of the booking but the company will not be liable to pay any compensation to the client or any other person for any loss, damage or expenditure arising directly or indirectly from the cancellation.
7.3 The company reserves the right to terminate the booking without notice if there is a breach of these conditions.
